Public Lands Council Opens 2020 Legislative Conference Registration

WASHINGTON (January 14, 2020) – The Public Lands Council (PLC) opened registration for its 2020 Legislative Conference in Washington March 30 – 31. The annual conference brings western cattle and sheep producers from across the West to the nation’s capital to discuss key issues impacting the federal lands ranching industry and provides a platform for attendees to speak with members of Congress and agency officials.

The PLC Legislative Conference kicks off with committee and board meetings Monday afternoon. On Tuesday, attendees will be briefed by a lineup of speakers, including members of Congress, federal agency officials, and industry experts.

For the third year, the conference will host the Best of the West Cookoff, bringing teams together to showcase public lands-grown beef and lamb Monday evening. Teams entering into the competition must register through the PLC website beginning February 1.
