Congratulations to the Halls! Rangeland stewardship is at the center of public lands ranching. We’re proud to continue this partnership with @BLMNational to highlight outstanding commitment to our rangelands!
It's the final day of #InvasiveSpeciesAwarenessWeek! We've covered a lot of info, but there's so much more. Keep learning, tag us @PLCranching to share your strategies for managing invasives on your land, and join the @westgov data sharing project at http://westgov.org/initiatives/overview/biosecurity-and-invasive-species-initiative.
Happy #FFAWeek! Today's FFA members will be our nation's public lands ranchers, farmers, business owners, and scientists tomorrow. The work that FFA does with young people represents an invaluable investment in the future of rural America. Thank you!
The cost of invasive species goes beyond environmental degradation — harm to industries like agriculture, recreation & energy exceeds $137 billion per year. Prescribed grazing by public lands ranchers can alleviate economic AND environmental damage. #InvasiveSpeciesAwarenessWeek
Day Three of #InvasiveSpeciesAwarenessWeek! Animals can be invasive, too. Invasive animal species often have high reproductive rates & few predators. This creates a domino effect that degrades the entire ecosystem, threatens hunting & fishing revenue, and increases wildfire risk.
