The policies and decisions made in Washington, D.C. directly impact the lives and businesses of ranchers across the West. Each year, the Public Lands Council connects our members directly with those decisionmakers. Cattle and sheep producers will gather to speak with members of Congress and agency officials, participate in education sessions and policy discussions, and enjoy networking with fellow ranchers.

The regular cost of registration is $165, then increases to $185 after March 1. CLICK HERE to register.
We offer a reduced registration cost of $60 for students. We also encourage students to apply for the Nick Theos Scholarship, which is available to assist with travel expenses. CLICK HERE to view details and apply.

Sharing your story with policymakers is THE most effective tool in our toolkit. Members of Congress and regulators tell our staff all the time that the most impactful evidence we can present to them is your voice. They want to hear your firsthand experiences and perspective on the ground.

After a full day at Legislative Conference, join us for an celebration of Western livestock producers! Back by popular demand, the Best of the West Cookoff will feature public-lands American beef and lamb, on a rooftop with one of the best views in Washington, D.C. Compete as a team, show off your skills, and dig in.

A: We are here to equip you with all the information you need to have productive meetings! Upon your arrival and check-in, we will provide you with a packet that includes state-by-state fact sheets, issue one-pagers, information on the legislation that lawmakers from your state’s delegation have worked on, and more.
Q: Is there any overlap with the NCBA Legislative Conference? Can I do both?
