The Sustainable Rangelands Roundtable’s web-based ranch sustainability assessment tool builds on a hardcopy sustainable ranch management assessment framework guidebook developed several years ago. The online assessment tool takes 15-20 minutes to complete and allows ranchers to quickly, easily, and voluntarily respond to assessment questions in 12 sections that address areas including soils, water, plants, animals, productive capacities, family resources, cultural resources, technical assistance, socio-economic aspects, business diversification, business planning, and succession planning.
