PLC Issues Call for Videographers

WASHINGTON (October 29, 2024) – The Public Lands Council (PLC), the leading national organization representing public lands ranchers, is issuing a call for videographers to support the creation of digital content in the coming year.

“Public lands ranching is essential to rural communities and public lands ranchers themselves have incredible stories to share about legacy, family, dedication, and conservation,” said PLC Executive Director Kaitlynn Glover. “In the coming year, PLC will be focused on sharing these stories through high-quality, cinematic videos and we are looking for talented videographers to help us in these efforts.”

PLC is seeking a number of videographers with advanced video production skills to capture audio/visual content on farms and ranches throughout the western United States. PLC has members located in Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, North Dakota, New Mexico, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.

Applicants must:

  1. Be available for work on a contracted basis.
  2. Supply their own equipment, including but not limited to cameras, microphones, lighting equipment, sound equipment, computers, and/or video editing software.
  3. Have the correct equipment and skill to record and edit high-quality, high-resolution videos for use on social media, broadcast television, websites, and other platforms.

Additionally, PLC strongly prefers that applicants have prior experience on farms and ranches, understand basic farm/ranch safety procedures and practices, and are comfortable near livestock.

To be considered for these contract video opportunities, please submit a sample of your work and join PLC’s videographer roster. Application forms and detailed information are available here.
