Executive Director: Ethan Lane
Ethan Lane is the Executive Director of the Public Lands Council and the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association Federal Lands. A 5th generation Arizonan with 18 years experience in natural resources and land use issues.
Before coming to PLC and NCBA, Ethan worked on multiple high profile political campaigns and advised a variety of private companies and industries operating on public lands throughout the West.
Prior to moving to Washington, Ethan spent ten years helping to grow and manage a large real estate and ranch portfolio including more than five hundred thousand acres in Arizona alone – much of that made up of State, Forest Service, and BLM grazing permits. His diverse background gives him a unique perspective on the challenges landowners and lessees face in operating successful businesses on public lands.

Associate Director: Marci Schlup
Marci grew up in Douglas, Wyoming, and has been working on her family’s cow/calf Black Angus operation since childhood. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Political Science from the University of Wyoming, graduating in 2009.
After graduation, Marci worked for Senator John Barrasso of Wyoming for three and a half years, first as an intern in Washington, D.C. and then as a full-time Field Representative on the Senator’s state staff, where she worked on various issues from Social Security and Medicare to agriculture and public lands.

Associate Director – Specialty Communications: Jaclyn Roberts
Jaclyn is a Texas native and has strong ties to the agricultural industry. She comes to us with a background in policy communications from her experience with state commodity associations. Most recently, Jaclyn worked in academia where she developed and promoted rural health pipeline programs.
Jaclyn earned both Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Agricultural Communications from Texas Tech University.

Manager of Operations and Affiliate Outreach: Tanner Beymer
Tanner Beymer is the Manager of Operations and Affiliate Outreach for the Public Lands Council and the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association Federal Lands. He joined the Washington, DC team in June 2017.
Originally from southern Idaho, Tanner grew up in the cattle industry and is a graduate of the University of Idaho where he studied agricultural economics and political science.
Before relocating to DC, Tanner worked as contract lobbyist for many organizations that utilize federal lands, was a staffer on several western political campaigns, and operated an auction company which he founded in 2012. In his role with PLC and NCBA, Tanner serves as the primary point-of contact in Washington for PLC’s western affiliates.
