The cost of invasive species goes beyond environmental degradation — harm to industries like agriculture, recreation & energy exceeds $137 billion per year. Prescribed grazing by public lands ranchers can alleviate economic AND environmental damage. #InvasiveSpeciesAwarenessWeek
Day Three of #InvasiveSpeciesAwarenessWeek! Animals can be invasive, too. Invasive animal species often have high reproductive rates & few predators. This creates a domino effect that degrades the entire ecosystem, threatens hunting & fishing revenue, and increases wildfire risk.
