WASHINGTON (Dec. 3, 2020) – The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA) and the Public Lands Council (PLC) today released the following statement on the selection of Rep. Bruce Westerman to be the House Natural Resources Committee Ranking Member:

“Congratulations to Congressman Westerman for being chosen to lead his peers on the Natural Resources Committee. His forestry background and knowledge of unique public lands issues has always been a great benefit to livestock producers who rely on sound land management policy,” said NCBA Executive Director of Natural Resources and PLC Executive Director Kaitlynn Glover. “He knows that ranchers and farmers are good stewards of our nation’s resources and he knows how important it is that these farmers and ranchers are involved in the policy-making process.
